The 31st annual conference for the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) will be held February 24-27, 2022 at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel, 35 West Fifth Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202. They welcome people from various disciplines and professions. With nearly 100 sessions to choose from, the conference provides opportunities to acquire information on current and evolving research projects, obtain new resources for and updates in ethics education, learn best practices for professional and corporate ethics programs, and engage in thoughtful discussion on a plethora of ethics topics while having ample time for networking and the exploration of potential collaborations with practitioners, professionals, scholars and students who share your interest in practical and professional ethics.
The APPE Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl® also holds its national competition during the APPE annual conference. Students from the University of Cincinnati are the reigning champions after winning the 2021 competition in their inaugural appearance.
In addition to the Conference APPE will host a pre-conference, APPE Research Integrity Scholars and Educators (RISE) Consortium Symposium. This is the third installment of the symposium taking place on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel. The title of the 2022 APPE RISE Symposium is Building Trust in Science: Structural and institutional strategies for nurturing responsible research. The Symposium will explore structural factors that are critical for building cultures of responsible research. These structural factors may include organizational, professional, social, political, cultural, and practical features.
