Bring the Ethics Bowl competition experience into your classroom with our Mini Ethics Bowl!

Ethics Bowl is not your typical debate competition—it’s a dynamic, conversation-based event where students engage in thoughtful discussions on real-life ethical issues. Students aren’t assigned opposing views; instead, they defend the position they believe is right, offering constructive feedback and showing respect for all participants. Success comes from demonstrating deep, systematic thinking and engaging meaningfully with others.

The Cincinnati Ethics Center will guide your students as they work in teams to analyze and present on selected ethical case studies. If desired, we can tailor the cases to align with your curriculum (e.g., focusing on science-related topics or political dilemmas). After preparing their cases, teams will participate in a mock Ethics Bowl competition, putting their critical thinking and collaboration skills to the test.

Students will:

  • Recognize ethical dilemmas and analyze complex issues.
  • Articulate diverse perspectives and the reasoning behind them.
  • Collaborate on challenging topics in a friendly competition format.
